latest information suggests the most exciting updates have been made to
Final Cut Pro and Compressor. One of the first things that you will
notice is that there is no change to the interface. | 1.
The biggest change sees the inclusion of a Share function that allows
you to easily export various outputs straight from the timeline; this
includes Blu-ray Discs and varying levels of quality (for easy
uploading to sites like YouTube etc) as well as any setting directly
from Compressor. Rendering is done in the background, allowing you to
continue working in FCP while the timeline is being shared.

ProRes has new flavours, at the high end, there's a new ProRes 4444
(330Mbps at 1080p), and there are two lower-bitrate versions: ProRes
422LT (100Mbps at 1080p) and ProRes 422 Proxy (45Mbps at 1080p).

The
Blu-ray functionality is limited and by no means as advanced as Adobe
Encore CS4 but has enough for most corporate- and wedding-styled DVD’s.
A
nifty feature is the ability to share a project via iChat including
timecodes. This feature allows remote or online collaboration and it
would appear the quality of this collaboration is very good.
Keyframeable
speed adjustments utility, this is the updated slo-mo effect.
Considering how difficult it was to use, this is a much appreciated
update, with a “ripple” option that allows easier positioning and
adjustment when utilizing this effect.
Just the above mentioned
improvements will dramatically improve your efficiency, timeframe in
completing projects and will make it very difficult to resist upgrading
